Centered around the theme of division, pairing, mirroring, cutting, and reflecting, this exhibition is housed in the temporary gallery of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum. I wanted the visitor to be able to interact with the art they were viewing and experience it in a novel way. A semi-transparent reflective surface was used for the walls so that the viewer would be able to see both the reflection of the work and themselves within that reflection. In addition, the glass would allow viewers to see the backs of pieces , distortions, and reflections which allows the viewer to experience aspects of the work they would not traditionally be able to.
The works were organized around various themes which blended into each other. Slits in the glass were used to both hold small objects and to allow for extended views of particular pieces.
