Anna Christina Yoder

Inspired by the ideas of the Minimalist movement, I began a study of the square. I was fascinated by the eye's perception of the shape, and the consequent visibility of the square depending on the forms which described it. Thus, none of my squares have solid, linear edges.

Inspired by the word art of artist Carl Andre, I did some drawings and square studies using typewriters (a fun and frustrating experience).
