This project involved the design or a residence, studio space, and gallery for six visiting artists and architects in Marfa, Texas. The site is adjacent to the former compound of Donald Judd, and the retreat would be used by resident artists sponsored by the Judd Foundation.
Although the plan which I developed follows a regimented square proportioning system, the sections of the buildings which contain art break these rigid right-angled geometries. The public programs are towards the entrance, and the inner space gets progessively more private.

Model Photograph
This model of Marfa, TX was approximately 6'x9' and even included a model train. You can tell that the site was located in a commercial/semi-industrial area.
